Whether you’re looking to set up a smart home, transition to streaming entertainment, set up a new phone, or just troubleshoot your WiFi, we’ll help solve your tech problems with clear explanations and no technical jargon. (Ongoing support also available at discounted rates.)

🎈 REMOTE SUPPORT & LEARNING

$75 per hour (30-minute minimum)

Phone or video chat support for issues and advice that don’t require an in-home visit, with the same patient, no-jargon guidance as you get in person. We can walk you through phone, TV, or WiFi problems, and walk through and fix issues you may be having with a computer or other device. (Ongoing support also available at discounted rates.)

Our mission is simple: help seniors and those who care for them use technology to enhance independence, increase confidence, and strengthen family connections. 

Red Balloon was founded by Shandon Fowler, a tech professional, device geek and Sandwich Generation caregiver. His firsthand experience helping family and friends with tech needs motivated him to create a personalized service that provides patient, expert, and plain-English tech support that is affordable and accessible.

It all started with a text message…

Lila, our 85-year-old charter customer—and our founder’s mother-in-law!—is a quick-witted senior who has embraced technology to stay connected, entertained, and healthy. One day, she started signing her text messages with a red balloon emoji—no explanation, no fanfare, just a personalized touch that became her digital signature.

When looking for a name to suit a service to help seniors navigate technology, Lila’s delightfully creative sign-off kept floating back to us. So, with Lila’s blessing, we adopted the red balloon as our symbol to represent how personalized tech guidance can help you rise above challenges and soar to new heights of tech confidence and connection.
